What to expect before, during, and after surgery

Preparing for Joint Surgery

This interactive Joint Replacement Education class explains what to expect before, during, and after your hospital stay. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during the presentation.

This mandatory 90-minute class must be completed before your surgery. Each class covers both hip and knee replacements.

Class Schedule

All classes are on Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 pm. Pre-registration is not required. 

Choose one of the following to complete the class:

Option 1: Attend in Person

  • Attend the class at the hospital.
  • Please request directions to the Bailey basement and follow the posted signs to the classroom.

Option 2: Attend Live Online (Zoom)

  • Join the class using the Zoom application.
  • If this is your first time using Zoom, please download and test the application the day before class.
  • If your computer does not have a microphone or speakers, you may call in for audio only.

Option 3: Watch the Recorded Class Video

  • If you are unable to attend the class in person or live on Zoom, you may complete the requirement by watching the recorded class video.
