Routine care and prevention services for infectious diseases

Infectious Disease Diagnosis, Treatment, and Prevention

Whether you need treatment for a sudden illness, ongoing care for a chronic infection, or preventive services to help protect your health, the infectious disease specialists at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Plymouth (BID Plymouth) provide expert, compassionate care for a wide range of infectious diseases.

Our team diagnoses and treats infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. We also provide antibiotic management counseling and prevention services, including HIV/AIDS care, immunizations, and travel-related health guidance. We work closely with you to help improve your health, manage symptoms, and lower the risk of spreading infection to others.

HIV & AIDS Treatment and Care

Knowing your HIV status — regardless of age, race, gender, or lifestyle — is an important part of protecting your health and reducing the risk of transmission to others. Early diagnosis and treatment can help people with HIV live longer, healthier lives.

At BID Plymouth, we provide HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), along with primary and specialty care for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Free, Confidential HIV Testing

Free and anonymous rapid HIV testing is available through the ACCESS HIV/AIDS Program. Testing is confidential, results are available in 15 minutes or less, and counseling and support services are also available.

To schedule an appointment for HIV counseling and testing, please call 508-317-3389.
