Take the first step on your journey toward better health.
Life often unfolds in unexpected ways. Illnesses and injuries can appear suddenly — often at the worst possible moments. If your doctor’s office is unavailable or you can’t secure a timely appointment, you might assume the emergency department (ED) is your only choice. But that’s not always the case. Urgent care offers you an alternative.
Urgent care provides prompt treatment for non-life-threatening conditions that still require immediate attention. It's a convenient option close to home, often saving you time and money compared to an ED visit. No appointment or referral is needed — you can walk in or use our online tool to reserve your spot and join the line from home. We treat patients aged two and older.
For emergencies like chest pain, stroke symptoms, or uncontrolled bleeding, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. These situations require the advanced, comprehensive care available at a hospital.
If you’re unsure whether urgent care is the right choice, give us a call for guidance.
At Beth Israel Lahey Health Urgent Care–Middleborough, your care is in the hands of board-certified emergency medicine physicians who also work in Beth Israel Lahey Health emergency departments. Our team includes skilled emergency medicine nurses, offering a level of expertise rarely found at other urgent care centers.
We provide on-site X-rays and a medical lab to streamline your care. With electronic access to many patients' medical records, we make well-informed decisions about your treatment. In most cases, we can answer your health questions and provide in-house care before you leave. If additional expertise is needed, we’ll connect you with trusted external specialists.

Please be aware, online reservations are not appointments. We work to see and treat patients as quickly as possible. However, due to the nature of our services, people may have serious conditions that require attention right away. As a result, you may not receive treatment in the order in which you arrive.
