Hyperbaric oxygen therapy helps wounds heal
At Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Plymouth, you'll find some of the most advanced treatments available for non-healing wounds, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).
HBOT involves breathing in oxygen under pressure. It is used with other treatments to help heal conditions that may be lacking enough oxygen to heal themselves.
Some of the conditions that benefit from HBOT include tissue bone damage from radiation, advanced diabetic ulcers and bone infections that have not responded to antibiotic treatment. We'll work with you to establish a personalized treatment plan that may help you heal as quickly as possible.
